I don't think I've parallel parked a car more than a handful of times in the last few years, just don't encounter those spaces in my driving, so can't really comment on how it does with that. Predictably the Escape falls between my pickup (see sig block below) and my '01 Miata in terms of handling and turning circle. Looking further in the site at the second link in post # 2, it shows the '14 Focus with a turning circle of 36ft diameter (almost 3ft less than the Escape) if that comparison helps.
